About This Project

This AYDA competition project establishes the Longyi Experience Commune Hub in Wundwin to produce eco-friendly longyi. It replaces chemical dyeing with plant-based colors from fresh local materials, supports traditional looms through shared workspaces and training, and enables direct sales so makers earn fairly. The hub reduces canal pollution, strengthens the weaving community, and elevates the longyi (waist wrap) as a living cultural symbol made sustainably.
